The Pollan book was good. I really liked the Alderson/s. The joint McCaffrey annoyed the crap out of me - it was just 'Moreta' re-written in a different time-frame and with a younger (male) protag. Gahhh! I've definitely reached my absolute limit of 'sexy' Regencies, though (those last three). It deeply jars my sense of what's proper when the unmarried girl succumbs to the lordling's importunities. For some reason it doesn't bother me if it's a widow, but for the young virginal girl it just seems anachronistic. I may be prudish in this regard - or just brought up on Heyer - but Ivanesque I find myself saying "that's just wrong!"
