So, finally we have an election date - 21st August. A mere 5 weeks to be bombarded with lies, big lies and personal attacks. Could be worse, wouldn't you say?

Can't help wondering if we as a country are yet mature enough to elect a female PM. NZ managed to do it without suffering calamities, are we less able than our trans-Tasman cousins? Because I certainly don't fancy the alternative!!
