Tonight I finished the split-the-front-and-back-tube-at-the-underarm stage. And have commenced sleeve number one. Pictures to follow soon (I'm getting better with the iPhone!)
I've been a bit remiss in not getting this far earlier, however I'll plead charitable works (and family) on this occasion. I have three great-niblings who all have their birthdays in July so I made a coat and hat for the 4yo g-neice and helped with a jumper for the g-nephew the other g-neice got a book voucher - she'll get a crocheted dress for xmas instead).
And then spent a few weeks knitting and crocheting hats and scarves for the cancer patients (as well as a hat and hand-warmer set for a friend who has lost her hair to Leukaemia) and the homeless shelter because it is frightfully cold this winter.
Have now shelved all other prjects until I have finished the sweater, so progress reports should be more frequent .
