Been a couple of months since I updated the list. Very busy with the knitting so not much time for reading. About 50% of these are re-reads. I have mixed feelings about the Bujold. Will post later with a spolier cut when I'm more coherent in my thoughts.

Bryson is always good. As you know, Bob, I agree with you about the Bujold.

I had distinct issues with Bryson in his book "Down Under" and how badly he dissed my hometown. Knowing that what he wrote was so totally unwarranted (*) has always made me a bit suspicious of his travelogue stuff and left me wondering if he was that obtuse elsewhere.

Down Under has a different name in the US. Here it's called In a Sunburned Country. And, yeah, he was kind of hard on Canberra as I remember. If it makes you feel any better, he was hard on some places I'm fond of here in the US, too, in The Lost Continent. It's just part of his schtick, I think.

Do unpack, I'd be curious. It's been a while since I read In a Sunburned Country, though.

What did you think of _Wild Ride_?

I was stalked by _Dogs and Goddesses_. Even after I bought it at a store, it mugged me in a thrift shop & on vacation. Fun read, though.

Do those numbers reflect books read this year? Wow!

I quite enjoyed it although I preferred the earlier one about the film crew. Dogs and goddesses was good, funny, which I appreciate about Crusie.
